Cheering for the home team

Sports are an important thing in everyday life. I had somebody ask me today what qualifies as a sport. Physical activity is a huge part of sports. Sometimes people feel like they have to know all about a sport to like it, but that is not very true. Liking a sport is a good thing. Knowing it is great, too. My favorite sport is hockey. I like it because, in my opinion, it is very exciting. Sitting in the bleachers and cheering for the home team is amazing. I like how happy it makes me feel. Sports are something everybody has a favorite of. Sports help me understand life. Believe it or not. Sports are all different, too. Everybody is different because of their likes. I like hockey because my dad always liked hockey. He would constantly talk about it and watch it. It was the game all my cousins played. I like to play with my friend’s little brothers. I really am glad because being a fan makes you different. It makes you happy to make a good conversation with someone else about something you like. My dad always wants to test me and see him much I know and what I like and who my favorite player is. I’ll always tell him: Wayne Gretzky.

I'm tied up and beaten Into the floor everyday, I make beautiful sounds And win awards. People take me for granted, They polish me or Add new laces But can't replace the damage Done. Scratches and dents Cover me. When will the damage be done? |

Sports, part of the American Lifestyle

Sports! The exciting word that we all associate with cheering fans, the Olympics, and of course the professional teams that get us so excited! When I talked to people about the excitement of sports, most people said how fun it is to compete and hang out with friends in their sports. Some people have multiple sports at the same time so they are forced to organize their time by picking and choosing what sport they will go to on that given night. When I asked people about the biggest sport event, the Olympics, they said that usually they don’t watch the Olympics unless their friends were watching. Overall, sports are a huge part of the American lifestyle and entertainment business.
